Description
Medium-ripening variety, obtained at the Leningrad Fruit and Vegetable Experimental Station by crossing the varieties Cascade and Captivator. Author: I.S. Studenskaia. Under state variety testing since 1998.
Medium-height, loosely branched bush. Stems of medium thickness, directed upwards and sideways. Growing stems of medium thickness, straight, beige. Thorns are practically absent. Individual thorns, if present, do not exceed 0.4 cm in length and are blunt. Buds are small, pointed, brown, pressed and semi-pressed.
Leaf five-lobed, above average size, dark green, matte, with sparse hairs on the underside, smooth, slightly concave along the central vein. Middle and lateral lobes are rhombic, basal ones are elongated. Lateral edges of the middle lobe are concave. The groove between the lobes is deep and wide. Teeth are large, rounded and pointed, not curled. Leaf base is straight or conical. Petiole of medium length, thin, green, straight, hairy.
Berries medium to large (4-6 g), oval, bright red, with light, moderately branched venation. Skin is thin, strong, without hairs. Flesh juicy, tangy-sweet, refreshing, tasting score 4.5 points. Cluster is single- or two-flowered. Berry stem is of medium length, thin, green, cylindrical. Calyx is narrow, long, half-open. Chemical composition: total sugars — 8.4%, titratable acidity — 1.9%, ascorbic acid — 53.4 mg/100 g. Berries are of universal use.
High productivity and self-fertility, moderate winter hardiness, high resistance to fungal diseases.
