Fodder Turnip FINITO

European breeding for Ukrainian fields

The «Finito» turnip is the result of the German breeding school Feldsaaten Freudenberger GmbH & Co. KG. Emerging on the market as a population variety, this hybrid represents a modern approach to forage crops adapted to the changing climatic conditions of Europe. In 2023, the variety was officially registered in Ukraine, confirming its suitability for cultivation in all key agro-climatic zones of the country.

Geography of adaptation

The uniqueness of «Finito» lies in its broad ecological plasticity. Unlike highly specialized varieties, this turnip effectively realizes its potential in three main zones:

• Steppe: resistance to moisture deficit and high temperatures.
• Forest-Steppe: optimal use of soil nutrients.
• Polissya: high productivity under sufficient moisture conditions.

This territorial coverage (SLP) makes «Finito» a versatile tool for farmers looking to diversify their forage base. The status of a population variety ensures yield stability and predictable plant development even with minimal deviations in agricultural practices.

Why is «Finito» the choice of 2023?

The registration of the variety in 2023 is not just a formality, but a marker of compliance with the modern requirements of intensive livestock farming. Breeders from the Netherlands (as part of the German holding) focused on the balance between vegetative mass and the nutritional value of the root crops. At a time when forage production efficiency is paramount, «Finito» offers farmers a reliable tool for obtaining high-quality succulent feed that is easily digested by livestock and contributes to increased farm productivity.
