Eschscholzia 'Crabapple' – a decorative flowering plant from the Papaveraceae family, distinguished by delicate double buds of a rich pink shade with golden highlights. Flowers with a diameter of 8–10 cm create a striking visual accent in warm floral compositions and look excellent in both large flower beds and in planters, pots, or rock gardens.
The plant reaches a height of up to 35–40 cm and is characterized by its unpretentiousness regarding growing conditions. It thrives on sandy and loamy soils, is independent of soil fertility, and demonstrates good adaptation both in open ground (including for wintering) and in partial shade. Blooming begins in May and continues until the first frost, making it a valuable landscape element for an extended period.
For successful cultivation, it is recommended to plant seedlings directly into the soil without pricking to avoid slowing growth. The planting interval is 20–25 cm, and the plant can be used for cut flowers due to its stable blooming and bright appearance. After flowering, pruning is conducted to maintain shape and stimulate new shoots. Eschscholzia 'Crabapple' is an annual, but with proper care, it can serve as a decorative accent in the garden or a pot arrangement throughout the season.
