Royal

Endive «Royal» – an early-maturing variety created by Agrofirm Aelita and intended for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses. Plants form a large semi-erect rosette about 17 cm high and approximately 40 cm in diameter. The leaves have a characteristic cut appearance: dark green along the edges and light yellow-green in the center, giving them an attractive contrast.

The variety is characterized by high yield – up to 4 kg/m². The mass of one plant is about 480 g, which makes it convenient for commercial cultivation and home consumption. Endive «Royal» leaves have a slight bitterness, but if desired, it can be softened by soaking the leaves in salted water for about 20 minutes.

Endive is excellent both fresh and after boiling or stewing. Its piquant taste goes well with cheeses, fish, and seafood. Due to low carbohydrate content and high nutritional properties, this variety is often included in dietary programs for people with diabetes and those watching their weight. Its appearance and taste make it a popular choice among both professional gardeners and home garden enthusiasts.
