Darnel Drohobytskyi 16

A Reliable Foundation for Durable Pastures

The perennial ryegrass variety "Drogobytskyi 16" is a time-tested solution for farmers operating in the Polissia region. Registered in 1997 by the Institute of Agriculture of the Carpathian Region of the NAAS, this variety remains highly sought after due to its stability and adaptability to the specific soil and climatic conditions of northern Ukraine.

Why choose "Drogobytskyi 16"?

• Specialization: The variety was developed for intensive meadow and pasture use. It withstands trampling by livestock exceptionally well, making it an ideal component for creating long-term cultivated pastures.
• Balanced Vegetation: Belonging to the mid-season maturity group, the crop demonstrates an optimal regrowth rate after each grazing or mowing cycle. This allows farmers to plan their green fodder conveyor with high precision.
• Regional Adaptation: Unlike many introduced hybrids, "Drogobytskyi 16" is natively adapted to the Polissia zone. It effectively utilizes the region's moisture availability, forming a dense sward with high nutritional value.

For livestock farms, this variety is a true "workhorse." It does not require overly complex maintenance technologies while ensuring a stable yield of green mass. The high density of the turf formed by the plant prevents weed development and soil erosion, which is particularly important for the long-term management of pasture lands.

By choosing "Drogobytskyi 16," you are investing in breeding that has proven its effectiveness through decades of practical application on Ukrainian farms.
