Description Ruslan
Early-maturing variety, developed in the Mountain Horticulture Department of the Siberian Institute of Horticulture named after M.A. Lisavensky in 1993 from a cross between the variety 'Sokrovitsa' and seedling 74-5-1 (from open pollination of the Siberian subspecies). Authors: L.N. Zabelina, E.I. Nakvasina. Under state variety testing since 2008.

Plant is tall, moderately spreading, medium density. Growing shoots are thick, straight, light green with abundant glands, without hairs. Woody shoots are thick, bright brown, without hairs. Buds are large, solitary, egg-shaped, pointed, pink, hairy, deviated from the shoot, terminal buds are clustered.

Leaf is five-lobed, large and medium-sized, bright green, strongly wrinkled, blistered, medium density, weakly shiny, without hairs. Leaf is folded along three main veins. Middle lobe is broad, elongated, curled. Angle between main veins of lateral lobes is right or obtuse. Basal lobes are well developed, their veins directed towards the leaf apex or spread out. Leaf base has a deep notch, in young leaves it is closed, slit-like. Teeth are large, medium length, pointed, with white spots. Color of main veins is light green. Petioles are medium length, medium thickness, hairy, dirty green, with anthocyanin coloration at petiole base, arranged at right angles to the shoot.

Flowers are medium-sized. Sepals are white-pink, petals are cream-colored, not closed, deviated. Inflorescences are medium length (5-8 berries) and density, hairy, axis light green.

Berries are large (1.5-3.5 g), round, one-dimensional, black, with numerous medium-sized seeds, medium skin, dry detachment, sour-sweet taste, good. Receptacle is medium, closed. Peduncle is medium length, light green, hairy.

Variety is winter-hardy, self-fertile, resistant to fungal diseases, bud mite and glassy disease, high yielding (8.5 t/ha).

Advantages of the variety: strong growth and plant vigor, high yield, good berry taste, easily propagated, resistant to anthracnose, rust, glassy disease and bud mite.

Disadvantages of the variety: insufficient resistance to gall aphid.
