Description Altai Late
A late-ripening variety, developed in the Mountain Horticulture Department of the Siberian Institute of Horticulture named after M.A. Lisavenko, from a cross between the form (Seyanets Golubki x Slozhnokistnaya) and the variety Klussonovskaya. Author: L.N. Zabelina. Included in the State Register of Varieties approved for use in the West Siberian region in 2004.

The bush is tall, upright, medium density. Growing shoots are medium thickness and thin, light green. Woody shoots are pale, slightly glossy. Buds are medium size, elongated-oval, sit on short stems, pinkish, solitary.

The leaf is five-lobed, medium size, light green, thin, delicate, smooth. Lobes are pointed, central lobe is elongated, narrow, exceeds lateral ones.

The angle between the central veins of lateral lobes is straight. Basal lobes are weakly developed. Leaf base is heart-shaped with a small notch. Teeth are medium size, sharp. Petioles are long, thin, light, positioned at an acute angle (30°) to the stem.

Flowers are medium size. Sepals are bright raspberry-colored, petals are cream-colored, not fused, slightly bent. Inflorescences are long, contain 6-13 berries, medium density. Pedicels are medium length, slightly hairy.

Berries are large (1.1-1.2 g), round, one-sided, with a bump at the pedicel, black with a slight bloom, dry detachment, with a moderate number of small seeds. Calyx is small, closed. Skin is thin, elastic. Berry flavor is sweet-sour, pleasant. Chemical composition: soluble dry substances — 9.2-10.5%, total sugars — 6.2-8.0%, titratable acidity — 2.1-3.4%, ascorbic acid — 73-207 mg/100 g, pectin — 1.1%.

The variety is winter-hardy, high-yielding, average yield is 8.8 t/ha, characterized by good self-fertility, resistance to anthracnose, septoria, rust, and bud mite.

Advantages of the variety: high stable yield, adaptability to soil mechanical composition and fertility, good berry flavor and technological properties, easy propagation, suitability for mechanized harvesting.

Disadvantages of the variety: in the European part of Russia, it is affected by powdery mildew.
