SV 1514 SC is a mid-season hybrid of super-sweet Sh2 type sugar corn with a vegetation period of 80-82 days, intended for cultivation in open ground during the summer and summer-autumn seasons. This hybrid is suitable for use in the fresh market, as well as for canning, processing, and freezing. Thanks to its versatility, corn can be harvested both manually and mechanically, which facilitates the harvesting process and increases production efficiency.
The plant is compact and has a strong structure, possesses high resistance to lodging, ensuring crop preservation even under unfavorable weather conditions such as heavy rain and wind. The cobs have a cylindrical shape with golden-yellow grain, 20-23 cm long and 5-5.5 cm in diameter, with 17 to 20 rows. The cob weight is 360-400 g. A distinguishing feature is good tip fill and kernel depth, making the product more attractive to processors and end consumers.
The hybrid has high resistance to major diseases, including HR: RpG, as well as IR: Pst, MDMV, and SCMV, which contributes to stable yields and reduced losses. The transportability of SV 1514 SC corn allows maintaining product quality during transportation, which is an important competitive advantage in the market. The hybrid producer is the company Seminis from the Netherlands, which guarantees high quality and compliance with modern agro-technical standards.
