The TAIGA cucumber variety is a unique hybrid with high decorative and taste qualities. Plants reach a height of 1.5-1.8 meters and have a trailing potato-like leaf. Fruits are distinguished by an unusual multicolored coloring combining green, olive, yellow, bronze, and pink shades, as well as a beautiful shape with a pointed or blunt tip. Fruit mass varies from 250 to 400 grams, with individual specimens weighing up to 780 grams. The flesh is tender, oily, with a small number of seeds, possessing a rich sweet flavor with a slight acidity and fruity notes.
The variety is mid-season and bee-pollinated, entering fruiting stage on day 52-68 after germination. The plant is indeterminate with moderate branching and predominantly female flowering, contributing to high yield. The cucumbers have a spindle shape, length 16-18 cm, mass 120-138 grams, slightly ribbed and covered with sparse medium-sized bumps. Yield reaches 18.3-21.0 kg per square meter. The variety is resistant to cucumber mosaic virus, cladosporeiosis, and tolerant to root rots.
TAIGA is suitable for cultivation in covered and glass greenhouses with or without heating, including very early sowings. The plant is compact with short internodes and small horizontally positioned leaves, ensuring good ventilation and light access. Fruits are dense, glossy, deep green, 13-18 cm long, with quality bumps that remain even under stressful conditions. Cucumbers do not split open, retain good appearance for a long time, and easily set fruit even under unfavorable conditions. The variety demonstrates high resistance to sudden temperature fluctuations, cucumber mosaic virus, and powdery mildew, making it a reliable choice for early and stable harvests.
