ON THE WHEEL — a high-yielding parthenocarpic cucumber hybrid, suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses. This early-maturing variety features rapid fruiting: from germination to the first harvest, it takes only 43-50 days. The plants are vigorous, forming cluster fruiting nodes with 4-6 fruits per node, ensuring high yield and even ripening of cucumbers. The fruits are cornichon-type, weighing 80-100 g and measuring 8-9 cm in length, distinguished by uniformity and exceptional taste, making them ideal for salads and preservation. The hybrid is resistant to major cucumber diseases, including cucumber mosaic virus (CMV), powdery mildew (PM), and false powdery mildew (FPM), significantly reducing the risk of crop loss and simplifying plant care. To achieve maximum productivity, a planting density of 2-3 plants per square meter is recommended. In greenhouse conditions, plants are tied to a trellis and trained into a single stem, pinching off lateral branches above the second or third leaf. This promotes better air circulation and light exposure, as well as facilitates harvesting. For successful cultivation of ON THE WHEEL, regular care including watering, weeding, loosening, and feeding is required. Harvesting should be conducted every 2-3 days to stimulate new fruit set and maintain high productivity. The hybrid’s yield reaches 6-7 kg per square meter in open ground and can reach 10-12 kg/m² in greenhouse conditions.
