ZASOLYCH — an early-maturing parthenocarpic cucumber hybrid with an exclusively female flowering type, ensuring stable and abundant fruiting. This variety features a cluster-type ovary setting and shortened internodes, resulting in a large number of fruits per node. The period from seedling emergence to fruiting onset is 40-45 days, allowing for a quick harvest. Fruits weigh 85-100 grams, measure 8-10 cm in length, and have a diameter of about 3 cm; they are black-spined with excellent flavor and no bitterness.
The ZASOLYCH hybrid is well-suited for cultivation under plastic covers, enabling its use in greenhouse conditions and yielding high yields. The variety’s yield reaches 15-16 kg per square meter with proper care. Plants quickly resume fruiting after harvest, forming new clusters of young cucumbers, ensuring a prolonged harvest period.
For successful cultivation of ZASOLYCH, regular watering, weeding, loosening, and fertilization are required. It is recommended to pinch lateral shoots above the second or third leaf to form an optimal number of ovaries (3-4 per node). The hybrid is resistant to major cucumber diseases such as cucumber mosaic virus (CMV), powdery mildew (PM), and downy mildew (DM), significantly simplifying care and increasing harvest reliability.
