Description MELC
Cucumber variety MELC is a self-pollinating hybrid intended for cultivation both in open ground and under temporary plastic covers. The plant is determinate and weakly branching, which simplifies care and harvesting. This variety is characterized by high resistance to diseases such as cucumber mosaic virus, powdery mildew, downy mildew, and olive spot, making it a reliable choice for cultivation under various climatic conditions.

The fruits of cucumber MELC are cylindrical, dark green with short stripes, 8–10 cm long and weighing 60–75 grams. The fruits have warty surfaces, white spines, and dense pubescence, giving them an attractive appearance. The variety is highly early-maturing: from germination to harvest, it takes only 36–40 days. The plant forms up to 5–6 fruits per node, ensuring high yield per area.

Cucumber MELC is ideal for fresh consumption and salad use due to its excellent taste qualities and good pickling properties. Average yield is approximately 7.8 kg per square meter, making this variety economically advantageous for cultivation both in home gardens and for commercial purposes.
