GRIBOVSKY 2

Cucumber Gribovsky 2 is a bee-pollinated hybrid of salad type developed by the All-Russian Research Institute of Selection and Seed Production of Vegetable Crops. The plants are indeterminate with main stems over 200 cm long and leaves of pentagonal shape with unbroken lobes at the base. The cucumbers have an oval shape with a tapering base and a rough surface, measuring about 15 cm in length, 4–5 cm in diameter, and weighing 145–151 g. The fruit surface is sparse, complex, and brown. The taste quality of fresh cucumbers is rated as satisfactory and good.

The hybrid exhibits early and consistent fruiting, beginning to bear fruit on day 44–50 after mass emergence. It is suitable for cultivation both in open fields and in greenhouses, making it versatile for various climatic conditions. Yield is high: in winter-spring rotation it reaches 30–48 kg/m², and in autumn-spring rotation — about 4.5 kg/m². In regions with winter greenhouses, yield may exceed standard levels, reaching 86–94% of marketable product output.

Hybrid Gribovsky 2 is resistant to several diseases, contributing to stable and high-quality harvests. However, under insufficient light, fruits may deform, so adequate lighting is recommended for optimal cultivation. This variety is valued for its large fruits, good taste, and high market yield, making it attractive to gardeners and farmers.
