Etap cucumber is a mid-early maturing variety with female flowering type, pollinated by bees. The vegetation period from emergence of seedlings to harvest lasts about 100-110 days, with the first fruits obtainable as early as 42-48 days. The plant is medium-vined, ensuring ease of cultivation both in open ground and under film cover.
Fruits of the Etap cucumber are 10-12 cm long and weigh 70-80 grams. They have a slightly conical shape and green color with characteristic white stripes that may cover up to one-third of the fruit surface. The flesh is dense and crisp, with excellent taste, making this variety especially suitable for pickling and canning.
The variety is characterized by high yield — under favorable conditions, it can reach 45 tons per hectare, with a marketable fruit output of up to 95%. The Etap cucumber is relatively resistant to diseases, simplifying care and improving crop quality. To promote growth, organic fertilizers are recommended approximately two weeks after planting.
