Cucumber Enei

A reliable choice for open and protected ground

The breeding work of the "Mayak" Experimental Station (NAAS of Ukraine) has provided local farmers with the "Eney" cucumber variety, which firmly maintains its position in the mid-early segment. This is the choice for those who rely on time-tested genetics capable of delivering predictable results without excessive dependence on intensive chemical treatments.

Agronomic profile and resistance

A key advantage of this variety is its comprehensive immunity. In the variable climate of Ukraine, where sharp humidity fluctuations often trigger disease outbreaks, "Eney" demonstrates high resistance to:

• Tobacco mosaic virus;
• Peronosporosis;
• Fusarium wilt;
• Bacteriosis.

Such resilience allows for successful cultivation both in glass greenhouses and in open fields. "Eney" effectively withstands the aggressive impact of alternaria, mycosphaerella spot, and brown spot, making it technologically convenient in terms of crop protection.

Productivity and market quality

The variety is characterized by a rapid entry into the fruiting phase — the first cucumbers are ready for harvest just 45–50 days after full germination. The fruits of marketable size (9–10 cm) possess excellent flavor qualities typical of salad types, yet maintain the firmness necessary for transportation. The market reputation of "Eney" is built on reliability: farmers value it for its ability to provide a consistent yield during the most high-demand periods of the season.
