Bridge

Bridge F1 cucumber is a mid-season parthenocarpic hybrid of the cornichon type, developed by the Dutch breeding company Rijk Zwaan. This hybrid features a vigorous plant with a well-developed root system, providing high resistance to adverse growing conditions and sudden weather changes. Plants produce 1-2 fruits per node, contributing to high yield. Due to its resistance to cladosporiosis and cucumber mosaic virus, the hybrid remains healthy throughout its vegetative period, which lasts 38-42 days.

The fruits of the Bridge cucumber have a cylindrical shape with large bumps, measuring 8-12 cm in length and weighing approximately 90-120 grams. They are dark green, crisp, and have excellent flavor, making them ideal for fresh consumption, pickling, canning, and industrial fermentation. The fruit length-to-diameter ratio is approximately 3.1:1.0, facilitating easy harvest and processing.

The hybrid is suitable for cultivation in both open and protected soil. Sowing is recommended after frost danger, into soil warmed to 14-16°C. Open-type plants with small leaves are easy to manually harvest and collect using platforms. High regenerative ability and good field resilience make Bridge cucumber an excellent choice for farmers seeking a stable and high-quality yield.
