SY ALIZETT

SY ALIZETT — a high-quality maize hybrid developed by Syngenta, designed for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Northern Steppe regions of Ukraine. It belongs to the medium-early hybrid category with a Stay Green plant type, ensuring stable growth and high yields. The hybrid is suitable for both grain and silage purposes, demonstrating high productivity: grain — 14–15 t/ha, silage — 7–8.5 t/ha. Starch content in the grain is 72–74%, and the number of rows per ear ranges from 14 to 18. The FAO maturity rating is 280, indicating a medium-early maturation period.

SY ALIZETT is distinguished by high drought and disease resistance, including resistance to common rust, ear Fusarium, and Helminthosporium. The plant grows and develops rapidly, enabling it to successfully compete within its maturity group. For optimal results, conventional, minimal, or no-till cultivation techniques are recommended, along with irrigation if necessary. The recommended planting density depends on the cultivation purpose and moisture availability: for grain, at sufficient moisture — 80–85 thousand plants per hectare, at insufficient moisture — 55–60 thousand; for silage — 88–93 thousand and 60–66 thousand respectively.

The SY ALIZETT hybrid is suitable for various agronomic conditions and ensures stable, high yields.
