RV 197 is a corn variety intended for cultivation in the Central Forest-Steppe region of Ukraine. It is recommended for use in resource-saving cultivation technologies, which allow effective use of agronomic practices and reduce production costs. The variety exhibits adaptability to local climatic conditions, contributing to stable yields.
Special attention is given to preserving the viability of elite seeds during the development and application of this variety. Studies have shown that seed viability gradually decreases under standard storage conditions at seed depots, especially at +20°C. However, among corn lines to which RV 197 belongs, genotypes have been identified that can maintain germination quality for up to three years, ensuring reliability and quality of planting material.
To achieve maximum efficiency at sowing, it is recommended to consider sowing dates and conditions, as field germination of seeds may vary depending on the time of planting. Using seeds of the RV 197 variety allows obtaining stable seedlings and ensures high yield potential when agronomic requirements are met.
