Maize Rushnik SV

Stable Yields in Challenging Environments

Working with the "Rushnyk SV" hybrid from Rasava, it is clear that this variety was developed with practicality in mind. When growing for grain, where every ton counts, this hybrid offers excellent predictability. Due to its dent grain type, it shows high early vigor and consistent moisture release during ripening, which significantly simplifies logistics and post-harvest storage.

Agronomic Features and Plant Protection

For an agronomist, "Rushnyk SV" provides peace of mind regarding the phytosanitary state of the crops. The hybrid possesses inherent genetic resistance to key pathogens and pests:

• A high threshold of tolerance to Fusarium, which is critical for regions with high humidity.
• Minimal losses from common smut, even during years with significant climate stress.
• Strong resistance to European corn borer damage, allowing for reduced insecticide applications.

Planting Recommendations

As a simple hybrid, it requires strict adherence to agronomic practices. At a planting density of 70,000–75,000 plants per hectare, "Rushnyk SV" reaches its maximum potential, producing uniform ears. The FAO range of 90–1240 allows the crop to be adapted to specific climatic zones in Ukraine, avoiding risks of premature maturation or excessive drying. When managed correctly, this choice from Rasava demonstrates an excellent return on investment through high-quality commercial grain.
