RESOURCE SV is a medium-early, three-line hybrid corn of Russian selection, intended for silage cultivation. It stands out for its high feed value and good digestibility due to low lignin content. The plant reaches a height of 220-260 cm and has about 14 leaves, while exhibiting high stem strength and adaptability to most climatic zones in Russia, including the Central Chernozem region. The hybrid demonstrates high growth energy and resistance to several major diseases, as well as moderate susceptibility to stalk rot and low damage from corn borer. The potential yield of RESOURCE SV reaches up to 65 centners of grain per hectare and 350-420 centners of green mass for silage. Average dry matter content across the region reaches 40.2%, while the normalized dry matter yield in the Central Chernozem region amounts to 127.1 centners per hectare. The feed characteristics of the hybrid include crude protein (CP) content of 31.9%, total energy (TE) of 11.5 MJ, organic matter digestibility of 80.5%, net energy for lactation (NEL) of 7 MJ, as well as 60 grams of sugars and 359 grams of starch per kilogram. The hybrid RESOURCE SV is suitable for livestock use due to its high feed value and resistance to adverse conditions such as cold and drought. Its high adaptability and disease resistance ensure stable yields under various climatic conditions, making it a reliable choice for farmers focused on producing high-quality silage and grain.
