Description

PORUMBENY 212 SV — this is a three-line early-maturing corn hybrid with FAO 210, maturing in 95-105 days. The plant reaches a height of 220-228 cm, has 15-16 dark green leaves and a sturdy medium-thick stem with an ear attachment height of 80-85 cm. The ear is conical, 17-20 cm long, with 12-14 rows of kernels, well-covered by husks. Kernels are yellow, with a 1000-kernel weight of 240-280 g, containing 10.8% crude protein, 4.3% oil, and 72.3% starch. The milling yield reaches 82-83%, and grain yield in cultivation zones is 80-100 c/ha, silage mass — 450-500 c/ha.

The hybrid exhibits good early growth and resistance to spring frosts, lodging, and stem breakage. It is tolerant to diseases and pests, including resistance to stalk rot and powdery mildew. The optimal plant density at harvest for grain is 70-80 thousand plants per hectare. PORUMBENY 212 SV is suitable for cultivation both for grain and silage, making it a versatile choice for various agroclimatic conditions.

The plant has medium or high growth, with a cylindrical ear and brightly colored core. Kernels are intermediate in type, closer to dent, with yellow-orange coloring at the top. The hybrid is included in national registries and recommended for cultivation in various regions, confirming its adaptability and stable yield. Due to its characteristics and resistance, PORUMBENY 212 SV is a reliable choice for farmers seeking high-quality corn yields.
