Maize PG 44/71 M

PG 44/71 M is a mid-season corn hybrid characterized by high yield and versatility. Plants reach a height of 160-180 cm, with ears up to 20 cm long and weighing between 180 to 230 g. The kernels are dent type, creamy in color, very juicy with sugar content up to 16%, making the hybrid suitable for both fresh consumption and processing. Maturation period ranges from 73 to 80 days, allowing flexible harvest planning depending on usage purposes. Hybrid PG 44/71 M exhibits high resistance to major diseases and drought, ensuring stable performance even under challenging climatic conditions. Recommended plant density at harvest varies from 55 to 75 thousand per hectare depending on soil moisture level. Thanks to excellent water release and phytosanitary properties, this hybrid leads in green mass and grain yield under production conditions. PG 44/71 M is suitable for various applications: grain, silage, and vegetables. It is characterized by high feed value, making it popular in animal husbandry for producing feed. The 1000-kernel weight is 340-360 g, and the number of rows per ear ranges from 14 to 18 with 34-38 kernels per row. The sum of active temperatures until grain maturity is approximately 1920 °C, corresponding to the mid-season group and allowing flexible adaptation to various agroclimatic zones.
