Monblan maize hybrid is a medium-early variety with a vegetation period of 106 to 108 days, allowing successful cultivation in various climatic conditions. Plants reach a height of 240–270 cm, with ear attachment height of 100–110 cm. The hybrid belongs to the grain direction with a cream-colored, dent-type kernel and has a FAO rating of 320. The 1000-kernel weight is approximately 350 grams, and the potential grain yield reaches 120–150 centners per hectare.
Monblan is distinguished by high resistance to pests and diseases, particularly tolerant to Helminthosporium and resistant to corn borer, ensuring stable yields and reducing the need for intensive plant protection. High photosynthetic activity due to significant stem height promotes good plant development and grain formation.
This hybrid also features improved milk-white kernel color, which retains brightness even after thermal processing. The maize has a high sugar content — over 22% — giving it an excellent taste and making it suitable for dietary nutrition. Ear length is 23–25 cm, and the kernels belong to the super-sweet type, making Monblan an attractive choice for consumers who value quality and taste characteristics.
