MAŠUK 510 is a late-maturing corn (Zea mays L.) hybrid with a tall plant reaching 230-240 cm in height. The ear attaches at a height of 100-115 cm, is long, slender-medium in diameter, and weakly conical. Leaves are of medium width, curved, with a small angle between the leaf blade and stem. The plant has high stem strength, resistance to root lodging, and resistance to breakage below the ear, ensuring reliability during cultivation. The hybrid is resistant to stalk rot and gray leaf spot, as well as moderately resistant to damage from cutworms and bollworms. MAŠUK 510 grain has an intermediate or chalky kernel type with coloring ranging from yellow-orange to white on both upper and lower parts. The ear has a medium number of rows of kernels. Tassel flowering occurs in mid-to-late stages, with weak or absent anthocyanin pigmentation in various parts of the plant. The main tassel axis is long, with numerous primary lateral branches, promoting good yield formation. Average grain yield in the region is 62.6 c/ha, with record yields reaching 136.3 c/ha. MAŠUK 510 is intended for grain production, suitable for the manufacture of grits, as well as for preparing cereals and corn sticks. Due to its agronomic characteristics and disease resistance, the hybrid is suitable for cultivation in various zones. To protect corn crops from weeds, it is recommended to apply the herbicide Fulltime, which contains mesotrione, nicosulfuron, and picloram, effectively suppressing a broad spectrum of broadleaf and grass weeds and reducing field infestation.
