LGX 2060

LGX 2060 is a simple hybrid of corn of the new generation, developed by the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad, Serbia. It is characterized by high genetic yield potential, exceeding 120 centners per hectare, and a vegetation period according to FAO 280, which ensures optimal maturation under various climatic conditions. Plants reach a height of 250 to 270 centimeters, promoting good development and yield formation.

The hybrid exhibits enhanced drought resistance and very high resistance to lodging, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in areas with variable weather conditions. The ear has a conical shape up to 30 centimeters long and contains 14-16 rows of kernels. The kernels are yellow, dent-type, with a 1000-kernel weight ranging from 320 to 370 grams, indicating high density and product quality.

The recommended plant density at harvest depends on the cultivation region: in the forest-steppe zone — 50-55 thousand plants per hectare, in the central steppe — 45-50 thousand, and in the southern and dry steppe — 40-45 thousand. Rapid water shedding during maturation facilitates harvesting and reduces yield losses. All these characteristics make LGX 2060 an attractive hybrid for farmers seeking high and stable corn yields.
