LG30179 — an early-maturing hybrid of sweet corn, intended for grain and silage production. This hybrid is characterized by a flinty-dent kernel type with yellow-orange coloring on both upper and lower parts. The plant has a medium height of approximately 240 cm, a medium-sized ear with 14 kernels and 34 rows, and a weakly conical ear shape. The vegetation period ranges from 98 to 112 days depending on growing conditions, making it suitable for regions with short vegetation periods, such as the Volga, Ural, and Central Federal Districts. The LG30179 hybrid is distinguished by rapid early growth, early flowering, and high cold tolerance, making it suitable for early planting. It is resistant to lodging and various diseases, including fusarium and ear rot, ensuring stable yields even under stressful conditions. High water release rate from kernels helps reduce moisture at harvest, improving yield quality and storage. LG30179 responds well to intensive cultivation technologies, including fertilizer application and effective weed control. Thanks to these features, the hybrid demonstrates high yield potential: average yields in the Central Chernozem region reached 74.2 ц/га, and in the Lower Volga region — 40.6 ц/га, significantly exceeding those of standard varieties. Maximum yields in individual trials reached 123.3 and 81.7 ц/га respectively. The recommended planting density for harvest is 70–80 thousand plants per hectare, which promotes optimal plant development and maximum crop productivity.
