Maize ILEXA

The Universal Potential of the Ilexa Hybrid

In today's volatile climate, growers increasingly prioritize plasticity. The Ilexa maize hybrid from NPO Sunbrid is an example of a balanced variety designed for those who don't want to choose between high grain yields and silage quality. Thanks to its medium-early maturity, this hybrid reliably sheds moisture, allowing farmers to plan their harvesting campaign without the risk of being caught by persistent autumn rains.

Agronomic Advantages

• Versatile Application: Unlike specialized lines, Ilexa demonstrates equal efficiency whether grown for grain or silage. It is a strategic choice for mixed-profile farms combining livestock and crop production.
• Genetic Simplicity: As a simple hybrid, Ilexa features a pronounced heterosis effect, ensuring uniform stands and predictable responses to agronomic management.
• Reliability: The medium-early maturity group makes this hybrid an excellent option for challenging agricultural zones where completing the vegetation period before the onset of cold weather is critical.

A key strength of this hybrid is its technological adaptability. It is responsive to standard fertilizer application schemes and does not require unique environmental conditions to reach its potential. However, it is essential to maintain optimal stand density, typical for medium-early simple hybrids, to achieve maximum results. For agronomists who value predictability and economic viability, Ilexa acts as a reliable tool for mitigating production risks.
