Hybrid Maize Ton 320 VS

The hybrid maize Ton 320 VS is a mid-ripening variety with FAO 320, distinguished by high adaptability and reliability under various climatic conditions in Ukraine, including the Polissya, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions. The vegetation period of the hybrid ranges from 111 to 123 days, allowing its use for both grain and silage production. Plants reach a height of approximately 230 cm, with ear attachment at about 130 cm, facilitating harvest and reducing grain losses. The ear has a cylindrical shape with 16–18 rows of yellow dent kernels, 1000-kernel weight varies from 260 to 340 grams, and grain yield reaches 80–84%.

Hybrid Ton 320 VS exhibits high resistance to major maize diseases, including common and gray smut, and possesses good lodging resistance, confirmed by ratings of 7–9 points. It demonstrates high cold tolerance, drought resistance, and pest resistance, making it versatile and adaptable to various agrotechnical conditions. The hybrid responds well to improved cultivation conditions and is compatible with sulfanilamide herbicides, simplifying crop protection. Due to its robust root system and strong stems, it is well-suited for early planting and resource-saving technologies.

The yield potential of Ton 320 VS reaches 13 tons per hectare, with individual trials showing up to 15–16 tons, confirmed by data from state and ecological research. The hybrid is characterized by good seedling uniformity and high drought tolerance, contributing to stable yield formation. It is suitable for cultivation using both traditional and intensive technologies, making it an advantageous choice for farmers focused on high-quality grain and silage production.
