Maize GC 49 X GC 59

Hungarian genetics by Woodstock for intensive farming

The «GK 49 X GK 59» hybrid from the Hungarian breeding company Woodstock represents a classic example of the European approach to corn production, prioritizing the balance between high grain yields and superior technological qualities. This material is designed for farmers focused on commercial production, where stability and predictable results are the key success factors.

Agronomic profile and specific use

This model is engineered with a dual-purpose focus: direct commodity grain production and subsequent deep processing. In the modern market, this implies that the hybrid features excellent cob filling and optimal moisture loss rates, which are critical for minimizing post-harvest drying costs. The genetic potential of Woodstock allows the «GK 49 X GK 59» to efficiently realize its capacity in medium-to-high fertility soils, showing strong responsiveness to mineral fertilization.

Why growers choose Hungarian genetics

The use of Hungarian hybrids in Eastern European latitudes has long been a mark of pragmatic farm management. Woodstock, as the originator of this hybrid, places a premium on adaptability. The «GK 49 X GK 59» is resilient against seasonal stress conditions, as proven by its practical application in fields with variable climatic patterns. The versatility of the raw material for processing provides producers with additional market opportunities, ranging from animal feed to starch-syrup industries.
