ES ZORION — a medium-early hybrid of grain maize with FAO 230, developed by Lidea and registered in 2017. This variety features a dent kernel type and high yield potential reaching up to 13 tons per hectare. Plants reach a height of about 295 cm, with ear attachment height of 118 cm. Approximately 31 kernels form per row, with row count ranging from 14 to 16. Thousand kernel weight is 331 grams, indicating kernel size and density. ES ZORION is intended for grain production and is characterized by high resistance to lodging and diseases, ensuring stable yields even under adverse conditions. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation in various agroclimatic zones of Ukraine, including Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe. Due to its adaptability and resistance to stress factors such as diseases and unfavorable weather conditions, ES ZORION is suitable for intensive farming technologies. High resistance to common maize diseases such as southern rust and others allows minimizing yield losses and reducing crop protection costs. Using the ES ZORION hybrid enables farmers to achieve high and stable grain maize yields with good agronomic performance. Due to its characteristics, this variety is suitable for cultivation in different regions of Ukraine, ensuring effective use of sown areas and maximum return on invested resources.
