Maize ES COCKPIT

Field Performance: A Review of EC Cockpit

Working with the EC Cockpit hybrid from the French brand Lidea, the first thing you notice is its predictability. This mid-early corn hybrid fits perfectly into intensive crop rotations where obtaining commercial grain with optimal moisture levels—without overpaying for drying—is critical. The intermediate grain type (yellow) shows excellent moisture release during ripening, which significantly saves resources at the end of the season.

Agronomic Reliability

The key benefit during the growing season is the 'Stay Green' effect. The plant remains green until harvest, allowing for a flexible harvesting schedule without fear of a sharp drop in grain quality. The hybrid shows strong resistance to diseases, particularly common smut, which simplifies field management.

Harvesting Efficiency

For a combine operator, EC Cockpit is a comfortable choice. Uniform ripening eliminates 'surprises' with moisture levels across different parts of the field. The grain is well-filled with good test weight, which always adds to profitability at the scales. With proper header settings, losses are minimal thanks to the strong stalk and resistance to lodging.

• Hybrid type: Grain, stable;
• Ripening period: Mid-early;
• Key features: High adaptability, easy threshing.

If you are looking for a hybrid that compensates for minor planting delays and consistently delivers solid grain yields, this is a proven choice backed by French breeding expertise.
