EG 7169 CMS is an early-maturing corn variety developed by EURALIS SEMENCES. It is included in the State Register of the Russian Federation and is suitable for cultivation across all regions of the country. The plant is characterized by medium height and medium leaf width, ensuring optimal growth and resilience to external conditions. External features include weak anthocyanic pigmentation of the first leaf sheath and medium-intensity root pigmentation at the stem, which is a distinctive trait of this variety.
Tasseling occurs in early-to-medium stages, with weak or absent anthocyanic pigmentation of the tassel bracts and stamens. The tassel has a compact structure with a main axis higher than the upper lateral branches and forming a small angle with them. Primary lateral branches are of medium length and slightly curved, with a limited number. The plant’s silk is medium anthocyanic in color, while leaf sheaths are practically unpigmented.
The ear is short, slender, and weakly conical, with a medium-length stalk. Kernels are arranged in a small number of rows and have an intermediate type, closer to horny. The upper part of the kernel is yellow-orange, while the lower part is orange. The absence of anthocyanic pigmentation in the ear’s core is also a distinctive feature of EG 7169 CMS. All these characteristics make this corn variety attractive for cultivation to obtain high-quality yields under various climatic conditions.
