It belongs to the medium-early maturity group with FAO 270 and is characterized by high plasticity, allowing successful cultivation under various climatic conditions, including arid regions. Plants reach heights of 200 to 270 cm, with ears positioned at 120-140 cm. Grain forms in 14-16 rows, with 26-38 kernels per row, and 1000 kernel weight varies from 270 to 330 grams. The hybrid is non-GMO and is sold by Dow Seeds in bags. DS0479B is characterized by high drought tolerance and excellent water shedding, ensuring stable yields even under insufficient moisture. It tolerates high plant densities and is suitable for early planting, demonstrating rapid growth and high germination energy during early vegetative stages. Thanks to its strong root system and high stem strength, the plant is resistant to lodging and damage, including from corn borer, contributing to excellent phytosanitary status throughout the entire growing season. The hybrid exhibits high reproductivity, which does not affect grain maturity time but instead promotes quality ripening with good moisture reduction. Recommended planting density ranges from 50,000 to 90,000 plants per hectare, depending on growing conditions.
