PR38A22 is a mid-late maturing corn hybrid with waxy kernel type and FAO 390, developed by Pioneer. The hybrid has a simple type and is intended for grain production for further starch manufacturing. The grain features high starch and dextrin content, which improves digestion, making it suitable for animal feed. The hybrid has a mid-late vegetative period, allowing for late harvest.

PR38A22 hybrid exhibits high resistance to corn borer damage and several pathogenic diseases, ensuring reliable cultivation. It is well-adapted to high temperatures and dry climates, making it suitable for cultivation in the Eastern Forest-Steppe, Northern Steppe, and irrigated soils of the Southern Steppe. The hybrid is recommended for monoculture, including no-till technology with minimal soil disturbance.

To achieve optimal results, it is essential to follow planting dates and maintain optimal planting density, as the hybrid poorly tolerates overcrowding. The recommended density before harvest is 55-60 thousand plants per hectare under insufficient moisture and 60-65 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture. PR38A22 is suitable for cultivation on soils with high agrofond and demonstrates stable productivity when agronomic requirements are met.
