Corn CS Amalfi is a high-quality hybrid corn variety intended for grain and silage production. This early three-line hybrid is characterized by high cold tolerance and strong kernel moisture release, ensuring optimal harvesting and storage conditions. Plants reach a height of 240-250 cm, with conical-cylindrical ears 22-24 cm long positioned at a height of 90-100 cm. The kernels are yellow, dent-type, oval-shaped, with a 1000-kernel weight of 280-290 g and a grain yield of 78-80%. The hybrid is resistant to vegetative lodging, drought, heat, as well as major diseases and pests, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions.
CS Amalfi adapts well to different cultivation regions, including steppe, forest-steppe, and Polissia. Over the years of testing, grain yields reached 6.5-7.0 t/ha in the steppe zone and 10.0-12.7 t/ha in forest-steppe and Polissia under optimal kernel moisture levels of 15.5-15.7%. The recommended pre-harvest plant population varies by region: 55-65 thousand/ha in the steppe, 70-80 thousand/ha in forest-steppe, and 80-85 thousand/ha in Polissia. The hybrid demonstrates high resilience to early spring frosts and can withstand prolonged delays after maturity, providing flexibility in harvest timing.
CS Amalfi is a versatile hybrid combining high productivity, resistance to adverse conditions, and excellent grain technological properties. Due to these qualities, it is suitable for a wide range of agronomic practices and can be successfully used in both traditional and intensive farming, ensuring stable and high yields.
