Description Cesil 285
Corn for feed Cesil 285 (FAO 290) is an intensive universal hybrid developed by leading specialists in Hungary to ensure high yields. This hybrid has a dent kernel type and is designed for dual use: for grain production and for silage storage. Thanks to its high compensatory ability, Cesil 285 effectively preserves stands and exhibits excellent drought resistance, which contributes to the quality maturation of the crop.

The hybrid Cesil 285 is suitable for early planting, has good drought resistance, high cold tolerance, and rapid early development, ensuring reliable cultivation under various climatic conditions. It also features high tolerance to pests such as cutworms and gray leaf spot, reducing the risk of yield losses. The recommended planting density varies depending on conditions: from 60,000 to 65,000 plants per hectare in dry regions and from 75,000 to 85,000 plants per hectare in areas with adequate moisture.

Cesil 285 is best grown in western, southwestern, and central regions of Ukraine, as well as in southern steppe and forest-steppe zones. The hybrid is well adapted to waterlogged soils, expanding its application potential. Thanks to its characteristics, corn Cesil 285 is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high and quality yields both for grain and silage.
