Description Casandro
The hybrid sweet corn Casandro is a medium-early trihybrid variety with a dent-type kernel and FAO 250. It is characterized by high yield stability and adapted to various climatic conditions, including dry and cold periods. Thanks to its high plasticity and adaptability, Casandro is successfully grown in western, central, north-eastern, and southern regions, as well as in the Central Chernozem and Lower Volga regions. The recommended planting density varies depending on soil moisture and ranges from 65 to 80 thousand plants per hectare.

The ears of Casandro sweet corn are characterized by good kernel density: each ear contains 700 to 870 kernels arranged in 16-18 rows with 44-48 kernels per row. The 1000-kernel weight is 280-300 grams, and the starch content reaches 73%, making this hybrid particularly attractive for the cereal industry. The kernels are large and glassy, which facilitates rapid moisture release and improves the quality of the final product.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to lodging and a range of diseases, including ear fusarium, helminthosporium, and moderate resistance to common rust and corn stem borer. These qualities ensure reliability and yield stability even under adverse conditions. Casandro is intended for use both as grain and for cereal production, expanding its application possibilities in agriculture.
