ALN 44

Corn ALN 44 is a medium-early simple hybrid with FAO 250, intended for grain production. Plants are tall, reaching 240-260 cm in height, with strong stems, ensuring high resistance to lodging and drought. Ears are conical-cylindrical in shape, 35-38 cm long, with 14-18 rows of yellow dent kernels, and 1000-kernel weight ranging from 280 to 320 g. Grain matures evenly, does not crack or shatter, allowing for direct harvesting with combine harvesters without the need for desiccation.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to biotic stresses and diseases, including helminthosporiosis, stem and ear fusarium, root rots, powdery mildew, rust, and virus-induced stunting. Additionally, ALN 44 is tolerant to saline soils and can withstand frosts down to -5 °C, as well as high temperatures up to +50 °C. Thanks to its robust root system and strong stem, the plant rapidly transmits moisture, promoting timely maturity and reducing the risk of yield loss.

Recommended planting density varies by region: for the Forest Steppe and Polissia, the optimal density is 60-75 thousand plants per hectare, and for the Steppe — 55-60 thousand. The vegetation period is approximately 90 days, and the potential yield reaches 14-16 tons per hectare. To enhance productivity, fertilizers such as nitroammophoska at a rate of 200-250 kg per hectare are recommended. The hybrid responds well to improved growing conditions, making it a profitable choice for intensive farming in various climatic zones.
