Description ALANO
Sugarcane corn hybrid ALANO is a high-yielding mid-early hybrid with FAO 250, designed for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones. The plant reaches a height of 240-265 cm and is characterized by high resistance to adverse climatic conditions, including drought, cold down to -5 °C, and high soil moisture. The corn has a strong stem, ensuring resistance to lodging and drying, as well as rapid water release, allowing harvest without desiccation.

Hybrid ALANO is distinguished by high resistance to major corn diseases, such as root rot, ear rot, blister and smut, fusarium of ears and stems, rust, helminthosporiosis, and virus dwarf mosaic. The grain has a toothed shape and yellow color, with 1000-grain mass ranging from 280 to 335 grams. The ear is conical-cylindrical, 35-38 cm long, with 14-18 rows of kernels and 38-40 kernels per row, ensuring high yield and grain mass. Under favorable conditions, up to 4 ears can form per plant.

The hybrid’s yield potential reaches 14-15 tons per hectare, corresponding to 105-160 c/ha depending on the cultivation region. The corn responds well to fertilization with nitroammophoska and is adapted to various soil types, including saline soils. The recommended planting density prior to harvest ranges from 50,000 to 85,000 plants per hectare depending on the zone. Thanks to uniform maturation and strong kernel attachment, the ear can be harvested directly with combine harvesters, simplifying agronomy and increasing production efficiency.
