Maize ALANO

Consistency and Disease Resistance

Alano is a dent corn hybrid that stands out in the competitive corn market due to its specific focus on pathogen resistance. Developed by Panam France and distributed by Av Du Capitaine N Tchorere 80270 Airaines France, this hybrid is designed for farmers operating in fields with high disease pressure, particularly those prone to Fusarium and smut outbreaks.

A Biological Shield for Your Yield

The core advantage of Alano is its built-in genetic resilience to a wide spectrum of common corn diseases, including helminthosporiosis, rust, Fusarium, and various rots. By maintaining a healthy leaf canopy throughout the vegetative season, Alano ensures that photosynthates are directed toward grain filling rather than stress management. This trait often translates into lower fungicide costs and higher grain quality at harvest, as the crop remains resistant even under challenging environmental conditions.

Agronomic Profile

• Grain Type: Dent, which is recognized for excellent dry-down rates and high test weight.
• Use Case: Specifically bred for grain production.
• FAO Rating: 90–1240, requiring careful regional consideration to maximize maturity windows.
• Seeding Density: Recommended between 50,000 and 85,000 plants per hectare, depending on soil fertility and irrigation availability.

Alano is the ideal candidate for growers who prioritize risk management. While it performs optimally in well-prepared soil with consistent planting patterns, its true value lies in its durability. It acts as a reliable hedge against crop failure in high-pathogen environments, providing the consistency that modern commercial farming requires.
