Corn CASS 7270 is a medium-early simple hybrid with maturity group FAO 270, intended for cultivation in various regions, including the Central Chernozem, Middle Volga, and Lower Volga. The plant is characterized by high height and broad leaves of medium width. A distinctive feature is the anthocyanic coloration of the first leaf sheath of moderate intensity, as well as weak-to-moderate root coloration at the stem. The vegetation period is approximately 120 days, corresponding to the standard level for this type of hybrid. The ear is cylindrical, medium in length and thickness, with grain rows ranging from 26 to 30 and ear rows from 14 to 18. The kernel type is intermediate, closer to dent, with yellow-orange coloration in the upper and lower parts of the kernel. The 1000-kernel weight varies within the range of 300-320 grams. The plant demonstrates moderate resistance to common smut, as well as low infection by ear borer and moderate resistance to ear fusarium, ensuring reliability in cultivation under various climatic conditions. Hybrid CASS 7270 has high yield potential both for grain and silage. Average grain yield in regions is approximately 87.4 centners per hectare, with individual regions such as Kursk, Krasnodar Krai, and Tambov reaching 95-116 centners per hectare. Recommended planting density at harvest is 75-80 thousand plants per hectare under optimal conditions and 60-65 thousand under drought conditions. Grain moisture at harvest is at 26.4%, facilitating effective storage and processing.
