Chrysanthemum SAKMARA

Cultivation and Maintenance of the «Sakamara» Variety

When working with the «Sakamara» chrysanthemum, developed by the Ufa Federal Research Center of the RAS, you immediately notice its practical value for garden management. As a garden operator, the main advantage is its low-growing stature (up to 30 cm), which eliminates the need for staking or support structures. This significantly reduces maintenance time while ensuring the plant remains structurally sound throughout the season.

Operational Performance

• Lighting Requirements: To maintain the plant's compact habit and promote dense flowering, Sakamara must be positioned in full sun. Insufficient light leads to stem stretching and premature loss of bloom density.
• Flowering Cycle: The 40+ day flowering period is reliable under consistent sunlight and proper watering. The medium-sized flowers (5-10 cm) are resilient against weather conditions; they do not bend or break easily, which minimizes "repair" work after heavy rains.
• Visual Impact: The yellow and pink color palette provides high-contrast decorative coverage. This cultivar is particularly effective for border planting or container gardening where consistent growth patterns are prioritized.

Sakamara is an efficient choice for those who value low-maintenance gardening. It combines visual appeal with high mechanical stability, making it a stress-free plant for both professional landscape maintenance and home garden use. Once established, it delivers a consistent, vibrant result without the need for constant trimming or corrective intervention.
