Chrysanthemum IMMORTALITY

Pride of Bashkir Breeding

The 'Vechnyj Ogon' (Eternal Flame) chrysanthemum is the result of meticulous work by scientists at the Bashkir Research Institute of Agriculture, UFRC RAS. Developed under the guidance of Gainikamal Kiyamovna Zaripova, this variety exemplifies the successful adaptation of multiflora chrysanthemums to climates requiring resilience and endurance. It is more than just a decorative plant; it is a product of Russian agricultural science aimed at creating expressive accents in landscape design.

Characteristics and Decorative Features

The variety belongs to the multiflora type, which determines its primary architectural feature: an ideal spherical bush shape that develops genetically without the need for complex pinching. This medium-sized plant (30-60 cm) is perfect for creating borders, styling the foreground of flowerbeds, or individual container planting.

• Flowering: Early, peaking in September, which extends the decorative appeal of the garden into the autumn season.
• Inflorescences: Medium-sized, 5-10 cm in diameter. The color palette features deep, saturated red and purple tones, making the bush appear to "burn" in the garden.
• Agrotechnics: Requires well-lit areas. Sun exposure is a critical factor for the density of the "ball" shape and the intensity of the pigment.

Market Positioning

The 'Vechnyj Ogon' holds a position in the segment of moderately resilient varieties. Possessing medium frost resistance, the plant requires attention to winter protection, which is typical for many Russian-bred chrysanthemum varieties. Professional gardeners appreciate this variety for its predictable growth patterns and the harmonious balance between the plant's dimensions and the size of its buds. Today, it is the choice for those seeking time-tested breeding work that combines classic autumn garden aesthetics with the reliability of local origin.
