Variety selected by S.G. Sukhotskaya (Omsk State Agrarian University), obtained through selection among seedlings of wild cherry. Included in the State Register in 2002 for the West Siberian region.
The bush is low-growing, height 110-120 cm, diameter towards the row 110-120 cm, towards the inter-row space — up to 190 cm. Crown shape is round and spreading, medium density. Bears fruit on one-year-old shoots, less frequently on cluster branches. Shoots are thin, slightly curved, brownish-gray, bare, with numerous small tubercles. Leaves are small, narrow, inversely egg-shaped, smooth, shiny, concave like a boat, curved downward, apex gradually tapering. Margin is serrated. Petioles are short, early falling. Leaf petiole is short, thin, green with two small light-brown glands. On average, 3 flowers form in one bud.
Fruits are medium-sized (average mass 2 g, maximum 2.5 g), dark red, round, apex rounded, base with a depression, small pit. Pedicel is long, thin, poorly detaches from the branch, easily separates from the stone. Flesh is pink with a yellowish tint, juicy, tender. Juice is dark red. Stone is oval, pointed, smooth, small, occupies only 7.5% of the fruit mass. Fruits contain on average 12.7% dry matter, 8% sugar, 1.85% acid, 30 mg/100g vitamin C. Sensory evaluation of fruits is 4 points, compote is 4.5.
Early fruiting variety, partially self-fertile. Best pollinator — variety Irtyshskaya. Fruits ripen in the 2nd-3rd decade of July. Average yield 4.5-5.0 t/ha. Recommended planting scheme 4 x 1 m.
Advantages of the variety: high winter hardiness (at -40°, degree of freezing did not exceed 1-1.5 points); good fruit quality both fresh and processed; early fruiting: already on the 3rd year after planting rootstock seedlings from green cuttings, yield reached 4.4 t/ha.
Disadvantages of the variety: variability in rooting of green cuttings from year to year, ranging from 40 to 70%.
