Designed for the climatic conditions of the Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissya regions of Ukraine, this rootstock provides trees with strong growth vigor and moderate branching, facilitating efficient canopy management.

Vegetation and Flowering Dynamics

Trees grafted on this rootstock exhibit a semi-upright habit and strong anthocyanin coloration of shoot tips during active growth. A significant advantage is the late flowering period, which helps orchards avoid the risks of late spring frosts. The large, round-petaled flowers are a hallmark of this variety, ensuring a robust start to the fruiting season.

Fruit Quality and Marketability

While primarily used as a rootstock, "Gizela 17.1" significantly influences the quality of the harvest:
