YUBILEI VAVILOVA

Yubilei Vavilova – a perennial catmint, created through interspecific hybridization of Nepeta transcaucasica and Nepeta grandiflora. The plant reaches a height of up to 75 cm, and its blue-violet flowers with bright purple calyxes create a picturesque view in the garden.

The catmint leaves contain essential oils that give the plants a characteristic lemon scent. According to the competitive variety trials, the green mass yield is 499 centners per hectare, the essential oil mass fraction is 0.23%, and the essential oil collection reaches 104.7 kg/hectare. Thanks to these characteristics, the variety is suitable for mechanized harvesting.

Catmint is widely used in cooking: fresh and dried leaves are added to sauces, side dishes, sweets, and drinks, imparting an aromatic taste. In landscape design, it is valued for its lightness and elegance, easily fitting into any compositions, creating a cozy atmosphere.
