Description Kentavr
Nepeta 'Centaur' is a perennial plant about 60 cm tall, distinguished by its cold hardiness and compact growth. Leaves of medium size are ovate, blue-green in color with a large-toothed texture and slight fuzziness. The white flowers form cyme-like inflorescences 6–14 cm long, creating a pleasant lemon scent.

The 'Centaur' variety is mid-season (60–65 days from germination to maturity) and begins flowering in the first year after planting. It can be grown from seedlings or direct sowing of seeds. For seedlings, sowing is recommended in mid-March to April, and transplanting into the ground in May–June. Sowing seeds in unprepared soil is possible from May to October, which protects plants from winter cold.

Nepeta 'Centaur' is valued both fresh and dried: its leaves are used as a spice, tea additive, and for making sauces. Green mass yield is 1.7–1.8 kg per square meter, with a distance of 10–15 cm between plants in a row (25–30 cm after thinning) and 40–60 cm between rows. Thanks to its cold hardiness and compact growth, the plant can remain productive in one place for another 5–6 years.
