TONICA

TONICA is an early-maturing broccoli hybrid, maturing 60-65 days after seedling planting to harvest. The plant is compact, open-type with a powerful root system and well-developed stem. Leaves are of medium size, gray-green with a medium-intensity waxy coating, weakly wavy, oriented vertically at the beginning of curd formation.

The inflorescences of the Tonica hybrid have a dome-shaped form, medium-bumpy, dark green with a blue tint. The diameter of heads is 15-20 cm, mass - from 600 to 900 grams. Inflorescences are dense and strong, well-maintaining marketable appearance after harvest, not prone to appearing anthocyanin coloring. The size of florets varies from medium to small.

The hybrid is intended for cultivation in open ground and is suitable for implementation on the fresh market, short-term storage and freezing, while well maintaining shape during culinary processing. Tonica F1 practically does not form side shoots, possesses high resistance to "leaf germination" and hollow stem, as well as medium resistance to fusarium wilt and other adverse factors.
