Cabbage Regge

Practical Insights on Growing 'Regge' Broccoli

From a grower's perspective, the primary advantages are the uniformity of the crop and the efficiency of the harvest process.

Field Performance and Agronomy

The heads, weighing between 0.5–1.0 kg, are exceptionally uniform, which simplifies post-harvest grading and packing significantly.

Key Benefits for Operations

• Market Appeal: The heads are dense and compact, ensuring they hold up well during transport to retail markets, maintaining a fresh, vibrant green appearance.
• Processing Quality: Due to the tight structure of the florets, this broccoli is excellent for industrial freezing. It maintains its shape and texture after thawing, making it a favorite for processing lines.
• Harvest Efficiency: The plant's architecture allows for rapid manual harvesting, reducing labor costs per unit without sacrificing quality.

Working with 'Regge' has proven that it is a robust choice for those who need a consistent product for both the fresh market and long-term storage or processing needs. It’s a variety that respects the grower's time and satisfies the consumer's demand for quality.
