MARCELLO

Marcello is a mid-season hybrid of head cabbage, distinguished by its high yield and resistance to cracking. The maturity period ranges from 80 to 145 days depending on the cultivation method. The cabbage forms dense, round heads weighing 2 to 4 kilograms, with good internal layering of thin leaves and a small central stalk. Leaves are of medium size, gray-green in color with a waxy coating, and have a medium-bubble structure, giving the plant an attractive appearance and aiding in quality preservation.

The Marcello hybrid is suitable for both processing and fresh consumption. Heads are highly transportable and capable of maintaining their qualities in the field for a long time, making this variety convenient for commercial cultivation and short-term storage. High yield reaches up to 7 kilograms per square meter, ensuring a stable and abundant harvest.

Hybrid cultivation is possible via seedlings or direct sowing. Sowing for seedlings is recommended in April with transplanting at the cotyledon stage, while soil planting occurs at the end of May to early June according to a 60x50 centimeter scheme. For direct sowing, planting dates vary from late March to late May. This approach to cultivation allows for flexible season planning and the production of quality heads at optimal times.
