Cabbage Aquata

Stability and Potential: Why Professionals Choose Aquata

In the mid-late white cabbage segment, the Aquata hybrid from the American breeding company Seminis occupies a niche of its own. The primary advantage of this hybrid is the unique combination of long-term storage capacity and versatile application. While many mid-late varieties lose their marketability by mid-winter, Aquata maintains head density and freshness for up to 10-12 months.

Agronomic Features and Recommendations

• Maturation period: The hybrid shows consistent performance within 70-90 days after transplanting, allowing for flexible harvest planning.
• Resistance: A critical factor for growers is the high resistance to Fusarium wilt, which minimizes crop losses even in fields with significant disease pressure.
• Cultivation technique: The recommended planting density is 30,000 to 35,000 plants per hectare. Adhering to this density is essential to ensure the formation of round-shaped heads that meet strict market standards.

Target Audience

Aquata is the preferred choice for agribusinesses and commercial farms aiming to supply supermarket chains and processing plants. Due to its dense structure, the heads withstand transportation and mechanical handling remarkably well. If your business strategy includes selling produce not only during the main season but also in the spring when high-quality raw materials are scarce, Aquata will become the foundation of your profitability.
